Srinagar Feb. 16 (KNO) : Muslim Conference President Professor Abdul Ghani Butt, today addressed a big congregation at Sahipora Qaziabad, Langate and later he also addressed Muslim Conference workers. While speaking Professor Butt said progress in both economic and social dimensions, in light of historical conscience, is possible by respecting the 'collective conscience' and 'echoes of hearts' of people of a state.

Whenever and wherever this “collective conscience" was undermined, the results were abysmally bad. He said, in this context it becomes imperative for both India and Pakistan to shun their mutual animosity and hatred and pave way for a peaceful and purposeful dialogue to resolve this dispute.

The people of Jammu & Kashmir are peace loving and genetically alien to violence. The stability of whole subcontinent is linked to peace in Jammu and Kashmir. Professor Butt said that both nuclear nations need to comprehend the collective conscience of people of Jammu & Kashmir and change their stance, positively, for betterment of everyone. Professor urged people to bolster the brotherhood and bonhomie among themselves and en-mass support the dialogue process. Professor reiterated once again that Kashmir belongs to Kashmiris and quite naturally they are the masters of their fate and destiny.

Both nuclear giants need to rise above and respect the 'aspirations' of people of Jammu and Kashmir. They must understand the 'gravity' of the dispute rationally and logically and start a dialogue. To bank only on dialogue process is not the solution rather it must be 'pragmatic' and 'purposeful'. Both nations must come out of this "dark abyss" to enlighten the wounded hearts of people with peace, progress and welfare en-route to stable subcontinent (KNO)
